Julie L. Myers, Head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Federal Government Giving States Proper Tools to Deport Illegal Aliens From Local Jails!
...Should States Use This Database to Deport Illegal Alien Criminals?
Julie Myers, head of the government agency in charge of enforcing immigration policies, recently proposed the Secure Communities program. This outstanding plan would give local jails complete access to a national citizenship database to determine if current inmates are illegal aliens.
In announcing the plan Mrs. Myers declared, "This comprehensive initiative aims to identify and remove all aliens convicted of a crime." This plan should be praised as a serious attempt to address illegal aliens in our prison system.
